Vermont’s biggest draw by far is 120-mile long Lake Champlain, which offers extensive paddling opportunities combined with small pockets of a nascent surfski community scattered throughout. Being 45th on the list of states by size has its benefits from a logistics perspective — locations along the lake shore can be relatively quick to access.
